I am incredibly disappointed with the service and subsequent lack of support from Charles Tyrwhitt. My experience started well but has ended with me being £95 out of pocket for a shirt I cannot wear. The Fitting I visited a physical store for a professional fitting. The staff were kind and professional, taking my measurements and providing them to me. Since the specific shirt I wanted wasn't in stock, I opted to order it online later that evening using the exact measurements the staff had just recorded. The Issue When the shirt arrived, it was not a good fit. Despite being "professionally" measured, the shirt was far too large in the neck and chest, though the arm length was correct. The Policy Trap I returned to the store, even wearing the shirt to demonstrate the poor fit. It was only then that I was informed—for the first time—that because the sleeves had been shortened (based on their own staff's measurements), the shirt was non-refundable. This crucial piece of information was never explained to me during the fitting. Had I known that their measurements carried a "buy at your own risk" policy with no recourse for error, I never would have placed the order. The Runaround To make matters worse, after being offered an exchange as a "goodwill gesture," the store then retracted it, stating that because the order was placed online, I had to deal with customer services instead. Summary: I followed the brand's own professional advice and ended up with an unwearable £95 shirt and zero accountability from the store. If you are getting measured, be warned: if their measurements are wrong, you are the one who pays for it.
