I had been looking for a navy wool shawl neck cardigan for several years. I found a chunky mid-blue cardigan while in Canada, but it was made of cotton and weighed too much without being very warm. Living in Australia I had been focussing on Australian brands, given that we grow the majority of the world's apparel wool. However, after 2 or 3 years of frustrated searching I found this one on the Charles Tyrwhitt web site and it looked ideal. I've been wearing it to work for several days now and find that it is a bit heavier than I'd expected or ideally wanted, but it's certainly warm. The are only two 'imperfections' - I don't have the thickest arms, but even on my arms the sleeves are a little slim, and the wool used is not as smooth as other garments I'm used to - it seems to be coarser than I'm used to - so putting the cardi' on and taking it off takes more work than I'd like it to. Apart from that it's a nice quality garment that is comfortable and flattering to wear.
