At Charles Tyrwhitt, we love clothing and hate waste.
We want to keep clothing in circulation for as long as we can, but we need your help! Enter the Tyrwhitt Takeback Scheme, in partnership with British Heart Foundation. With Tyrwhitt Takeback, you can donate your preloved menswear both online and in-store. We’ll send it to British Heart Foundation to help fund lifesaving research.
how it works
Online
Online
Step 1
Head to our online donation portal and enter your details to get a free shipping label. We’ll take any menswear, from any brand!
Step 2
Drop the parcel off at your local DPD shop with the printed label or QR code. Bonus points if you use old Charles Tyrwhitt packaging!
Step 3
As a thank you, you’ll get a code for 10% off your next order. It's that easy.
Bring your preloved shirts, polos and suits (Tyrwhitt or not!) to one of our stores. There's no limit on the number of items!
Step 2
For each shirt or polo you donate, you'll get £5 off a new one. And for every suit you donate, you'll get 20% off a new one. That's what we call a win-win!
Step 3
Browse our collection and ask the in-store experts for fitting and styling advice. Just make sure to redeem your offer on the same day as donating.

British Heart Foundation
Since our products are made to last, extending their useable lifespan is important to us - it really makes no sense to throw them away after a style refresh. That’s why we launched the Tyrwhitt Takeback scheme with British Heart Foundation, to make sure preloved items can be given a second life. Items sold in their shops help to fund lifesaving research into heart and circulatory conditions.
Since our partnership began in 2021, we’ve raised over £4 million for British Heart Foundation through this scheme and the donation of other pre-loved items, saving over 270,000 items of clothing from landfill along the way! This year, with your help, we know we can do even better!
