Too big was selected only due to the pant length noted below, otherwise it fits perfectly given my circumstances noted in the other section. Due to my odd dimensions (thick thighs and backside but shorter legs) it needed some external tailoring services. I never had off-the-rack dress pants fit me before so this is typical for me. So I had to purchase a 38W and 32L based on available inventory in-store and tailor the pants to 38W and 28L. I needed the 38W so my thighs could fit, otherwise the waist is around 34-36W.
