Ordered shirts online - very easy website to navigate. First I bought 4 coloured shirts of slightly different designs but all cutaway collars then more recently 5 white shirts of which 3 are for my week working as a member of His Majesty’s Body of Greencoats at Royal Ascot week. We are a group of 25 forming a ceremonial ****** guard to the Sovereign. All the shirts are top quality and well designed & manufactured. They all wash and iron easily and are extremely comfortable and look very smart. I wore the pink one with a navy check Ted Baker suit for a dinner party last Saturday 22nd to celebrate my 70th Birthday. Many people commented… in total contrast I am currently in dispute with Hawes & Curtis having rejected one of their shirts as being totally unsuitable. After one wash before wearing it was impossible to iron - I have a proper steam generated iron and have been ironing my own clothes for 50 yrs including all my uniform when I was BA Cabin Crew for 45 yrs. H&C Customer Service were totally unhelpful and refused to acknowledge my complaint. Their patronising and condescending response was giving me instructions and directing me to their website on ‘how to iron a shirt!’ I have returned the shirt to the Chairman saying I wouldn’t even give it to Charity. I am awaiting his response although I don’t hold out any hope. I have told them I will never buy from them again and so it is so good to have received completely the opposite from Charles Tyrwhitt in terms of quality and service… Thank you!
