It's designed with a water-resistant polyester shell to shield you from unexpected showers and eco-friendly wadding for that extra snug feel. I am pleased with this product. It meets Charles Tyrwhitt's usual high standards of quality - it's well-made, has a decent zip, and looks great. It's surprisingly lightweight but still does a good job of keeping me warm. The fit is a bit bigger than the other gilet I bought from CT, so it works better for me as an outer layer rather than under a jacket. The other downside is that it is dry-clean only, which is why it only gets four stars.
