How to Pack for a Holiday
Are you already busy allocating your leave, scouring the internet for inspiring destinations and looking forward to switching your emails off for more than a weekend? Whether it's an annual family getaway, a friends' weekend or a romantic escape, holidays are, quite frankly, a delight. The only puzzling part of the whole fandango is calculating how many pairs of socks can see us through a fortnight and how many outfits are too many. Ditch project management for suitcase management and enjoy packing a perfectly curated collection of holiday clothes, from your shirts to your swim shorts.

“Linen is made for warm-weather travel: it’s breathable, comfortable, and smart in a relaxed way. It will crease a little – that’s part of the character – but a few packing habits will keep it looking sharp. Common Linen Care Mistakes
01
Start with fully dry, freshly pressed pieces: Packing even slightly damp linen can lock in wrinkles.
02
Fold loosely, don’t over-compress: Tight folds create hard creases. Leave linen some breathing room in your case.
03
Layer with lighter items: Place linen shirts and trousers between softer garments (like T-shirts) to reduce pressure lines.
04
Use tissue paper for shirts (if you have it): A sheet between folds helps minimise sharp creasing.
05
Pack linen on top: Keep it near the opening of your suitcase, so it isn’t crushed by shoes or heavier items.
06
Unpack promptly: Hang linen as soon as you arrive. A quick shake-out helps the fabric relax.
07
Steam beats ironing when travelling: Hang it in the bathroom while you shower, or use a travel steamer for a fast refresh.
